Real GDP in the USA grew by 2.5% in 2023 after 1.9% in 2022

Real GDP in the USA grew by 2.5% in 2023 after 1.9% in 2022.  Figure 1 below demonstrates the falling annual growth rate. We have to take into account the “mechanical” component of real GDP growth as related to the immigration - the population growth is much higher than the BLS reports.  Figure 2 presents the growth rate of real GDP per capita. The data for the most recent years are likely corrupted by the hidden population growth.
